welcome to the world of electronics. chances are you know about a few components however complex they might be. Resistors are the most common and possibly the cheapest components on the planet (a few cents for a resistor). most resistors are too small to write the value on so they use a (sometimes confusing) colour code to represent numbers
if you want an easier way to decode those resistors, I have a program that can help,
in the program you can:
select colours from a dropdown list and it instantly tells you the value of the colour
it will calculate the tolerance of the resistor (minimum and maximum values)
it will also convert resistor values into a 4 or 5 band resistor colour code (depending on mode).

there is a version for XP default however it just has the window size changed a bit, i shall work on a universal version which adjusts to the bottom of the level bar depending on the title bar size
